To be is the most common verb in English. In this basic grammar lesson, you will learn how to use this verb correctly. 

The Magic -e

When we add an 'e' to the end of a lot of words, it changes the sound and meaning - rid/ride, cod/code, at/ate... This 'e' is called magic 'e' because it changes the sound and meaning of the word.
